For Mukmin, this recent history is an example where the line between truth and lies is blurred. He utilizes weaving as a medium to convey an idea of history as being personal yet collective.
By overlapping images that represent historical records, the artist creates an optical illusion collage that shows the intertwining nature of events and images. Mukmin recently completed his residency program at Jeonbuk Museum of Art in South Korea.
