Songwoot Kaewvisit

(Born 1977), graduated from the Bachelor and master of Art, from Faculty of Painting, Sculpture and Graphic Arts, Silpakorn University.

Songwoot’s artwork is well known and he has had many exhibitions in Thai and abroad while achieving many awards, such as the best prize subject king of democracy for install the new building Council Thailand Bangkok in 2012, Awarded the best prize contemporary painting Panasonic Thailand 15th  in 2013.

He is interested in the subject of the individual, not producing realistic portraits, but reflecting stories of life, state of mind, and emotions of the human-being.

The faces in his art are replaced by objects, creating a personalized inner expression similar to real people. It’s criticism of the social and education system that makes people into puppets, authorities able to turn them into whatever they want, just as if they were made of clay or paper.
